Code of Practice
The Insurance Council of Australia is the representative body of the general insurance industry in Australia. They have developed the General Insurance Code of Practice (the Code), which is a voluntary self-regulatory code that aims to raise the standards of practice and service in the insurance industry. NSW Stamp Duty Small Business Exemption Declaration
From 1 January 2018 the New South Wales Government has allowed small businesses a stamp duty exemption on certain types of insurance, including occupational indemnity insurance (including professional indemnity), covering liability arising out of the provision of professional or other services (other than medical indemnity insurance). Please read and complete this declaration if you are a small business eligible for the exemption, noting that the NSW State Revenue Office requires a new declaration to be completed every year for exemption to be granted. Translation and Interpreting Services
The Translating and Interpreting Service (TIS National) is an interpreting service provided by the Department of Home Affairs for people with limited English proficiency and for agencies and businesses that need to communicate with their non-English speaking clients. The TIS National immediate phone interpreting service is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year for the cost of a local call for any person or organisation in Australia who needs an interpreter. Their services include immediate phone interpreting. ATIS voice automated voice-prompted immediate phone interpreting. pre-booked phone interpreting and on-site interpreting.
